Abstract: 

Energy-dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (ED XRF) is one of the major methods used to non-destructively analyse chemical composition of various samples. Applicability of the method in in archaeometry, quality of the obtained results, and comparison of the method with other (often complementary) spectroscopy methods used in archaeometry will be discussed during the seminar. A 2 zł Polish coin from 1933 will be the case study.
