NCBJ Library

On September 1, 2011 Scientific Libraries of the SINS Andrzej Sołtan Institute for Nuclear Studies and IAE POLATOM Institute of Atomic Energy were merged into NCBJ Scientific Library in Świerk. The Library profile includes: nuclear physics, elementary particle physics, plasma physics/technology, cosmic radiation physics, astrophysics/elementary particle atronomy, nuclear electronics, ionizing radiation detectors, accelerator physics, nuclear medicine, nuclear power, nuclear reactor physics/technology, applications of nuclear techniques, nuclear safety, radiation protection/monitoring, condensed phase physics, material sciences, isotope metrology, computational techniques. Collection of publications on environmentally friendly sustainable energy sources, radioactive waste handling and safety of operation of MARIA research reactor are of particular interest.

The entire library collection amounts to 44,582 books and 2,422 journal titles (including about 18 currently subscribed titles).
