Assistant professor at the Plasma and Ion Technology Division

The National Center for Nuclear Research opens a competition for the position of assistant professor at the Plasma and Ion Technology Division FM2 based in Otwock / Świerk.

Scientific discipline: physics, experimental physics.
Apart from the doctor's degree, the candidate is expected to have documented knowledge in the field of solid state physics and experience in the field of research methods using ion beams. Very desirable experience in the of  field of Ion Beam Analysis and modification of materials, microanalysis (including RBS and RBS/C techniques) and practical experience in operation of tandem accelerators.

In particular, the candidate is expected to demonstrate:

• experience in the practical development of experimental techniques (ion-beam techniques, research on solid state structure);
• scientific achievements in the field of experimental solid state physics confirmed by publications;
• experience in working in an international environment;
• good, documented and practical knowledge of experimental techniques used to measure materials using methods involving ion beams;
• team work skills, readiness to participate in work carried out in international institutions;
• good knowledge of English in speech and writing;
